Holler Marketing

I help tell the marketing team at Holler bring our brand story to life. I’ve helped in coming up with creative concepts for campaigns, created organic and promoted social content, storyboarded and animated case study videos, animated UX mocks and assisted in maintaining our website.

A quick compilation of the work I did at Holler.

Brand Campaign

After securing their partnership with Venmo, Holler was ready to get their name out there. Nobody knew who we were and we needed marketers to notice us. So we launched this brand campaign aimed at marketers looking to break into the messaging space.

We wanted it to feel a little irreverent and snarky - we’re the cool place to feature your brand. So we leaned into the internet speak, and created these clever short moments where brands “enter the chat”.

World Emoji Day

For World Emoji Day 2021, we decided to create a small call out for big change: a petition to change World Emoji Day to World Sticker Day. Because why send an emoji, vulnerable to misinterpretation, when you can send an animated sticker, which is more dynamic and more nuanced in emotion?

For the campaign I designed and animated a short video to ask people to sign our petition, which was placed within a landing page. We decided to make it snarky - laughing at ourselves with this silly proposal. It’s just meant to be a fun way to celebrate the fun content we use to express ourselves in our messages.

Women’s History Month

For Women’s History Month 2021, the Holler Studio created a sticker pack consisting of 15 notable women in history. By typing the keyword “#WHM” when using the iMessage extension or Venmo, people could find these stickers and share in order to honor these trailblazing women. Each sticker share triggered a donation on Holler’s behalf to Girls Who Code, a non-profit who aims to create the largest pipeline of female engineers.

For this campaign, I created a series of social posts featuring the stickers along with more information on each of the women. Additionally, I created a short film explaining the campaign, and built a small site page where people could learn more.

Ai On Device - Explainer Video

Privacy statements and Ai technology can be very confusing to a lot of people, so we decided to explain how our on device AI technology keeps your data safe - in a fun way.

For this video I was involved in the entire process, from art directing to sourcing the voice over to animating. We used humor and fun illustrations to drive home the point that on device AI is the way to go for a better messaging experience, without compromising data safety.
